Half Day Fishing Charter in Marathon: Snapper, Mackerel and More

A half day is the easiest way to fish Marathon. Callion Fishing Charters takes you out for four hours on the whole boat, for whatever is biting, and you come back with fish for dinner. It is $900 for up to 4 anglers.

What you catch

Mangrove and yellowtail snapper, Spanish and king mackerel, barracuda and sharks are among the fish on this trip. The captain moves spot to spot until he finds them. If there is something you especially want to catch, tell him and he will plan around it.

What is included

Rods, reels, tackle and lures are aboard, and live bait is loaded before you arrive. Fishing licences for everyone in your party are covered. Keeper fish are cleaned and filleted at the dock when you get back, and guests often take theirs to a restaurant nearby to have it cooked.

Good for families

The boat is a 25-foot SeaVee center console with room for four adult anglers and a child. One guest wrote that Captain Jack was amazing with his girls, ages 12 and 13, and got them onto mangrove snapper as soon as they got out there.
